Soroptimist International of Stuart (SIS) proudly honored the nominees for Women of Distinction at a reception at Giuseppe's Italian Grill.

Women of Distinction is the only local event to honor outstanding women in Martin County who have achieved high ethical standards, are recognized as leaders in their fields and have a commitment to making a difference in the community.  It is also the primary fundraiser for Soroptimist International of Stuart.

There are four categories a woman can be nominated under and Attorney Lauri J. Goldstein is among the nine nominees for the Business/Professional Award. As an attorney, Goldstein entered legal practice at a time when the profession was considered a male domain. Goldstein and other female attorneys of her generation can truly be considered pioneers.

Goldstein is a busy mother of two and is an active community volunteer and sponsor. Goldstein is an accomplished woman who sets a sterling example for all of us, as a dedicated professional, as a loving parent and as an active community volunteer.

Although every woman is honored, only four finalists are selected.  This years reception will be held on April 7th at 6:30pm at the Hutchinson Island Marriott.  One hundred percent of the profits are used to support SIS's ongoing projects.

Law Office of Lauri J. Goldstein Accepting Donations for Haitian Earthquake Victims

Stuart, FL – The Law Office of Lauri J. Goldstein is spearheading a drive for non-perishable food donations and personal hygiene items to be shipped directly to Haiti through Missionary Flights International. Items requested include snack type food, granola bars, peanut butter, towels and washcloths, blankets, personal hygiene items –soap, toothpaste, shampoo, etc., first aid kits, antibiotics, flashlights and batteries, generators. No clothes at this time.
