A man was entering on the highway with his wife and three grandchildren when another woman was exiting the highway going 50 MPH, which breaks the law in California. The law states, "No person shall drive a vehicle upon a highway at a speed greater than is reasonable or prudent having due regard for weather, visibility, the traffic on, and the surface and width of, the highway, and in no event at a speed which endangers the safety of persons or property." The car attempted this unsafe turn, which resulted in the woman crashing into the median and then into the other family. This accident resulted in injury for the wife and three grandchildren and unfortunately ended the driver's life.
This accident was determined to be a direct result of negligent driving; thus, the woman was entitled to compensation for this person's irresponsible behavior.
