In late January, pop star Justin Bieber was arrested in Miami on suspicion of drunk driving.
Although the facet of this story that pertains to his alleged drunk driving is concerning, we're more interested in certain other elements.
According to CNN, Bieber was arrested around 4 a.m. after local police broke up what appeared to be a street race. Bieber was reportedly in a yellow Lamborghini and was racing someone in a red Ferrari. Police say the cars were going between 55 and 60 mph in a 30 mph zone.
Bieber has been charged with drunk driving, driving without a valid license and resisting arrest. He was taken to a Miami jail and later released on $2,500 bail.
If every element of what police reported is true, this story shows some truly concerning behavior behind the wheel. One does not have to think too hard before coming up with a plausible scenario for how behavior like that which has been alleged here could result in an injury or even death.
