A chain-reaction crash at about 8 a.m. on Friday, June 19, sent a van crashing into a house in Chuluota. A spokesman for the Seminole County Fire Department stated that a pickup truck rear-ended the van, and the impact sent the van into a nearby home.
Couple With Young Child In Home
A couple and their baby were in the bedroom when the van struck their home. The mother told wesh how terrified she was when the vehicle hit the building. The father spoke of hearing a loud explosion before finding a vehicle partially inside the house.
Three People Injured
Three individuals required transport to an area hospital following the crash. Two of them were male adults traveling in the van, and the other was the driver of the pickup truck.
The driver of the pickup received a citation for careless driving.
Red Cross Assisting Family
The damage to the house was such that the Red Cross assisted the family with a temporary housing relocation. It was unknown how long repairs to the home might take.
