Van Leaves Road, Rolls Over
A 31-year-old female motorist was westbound in a van on U.S. Highway 192 near Nova Road in the St. Cloud area. Troopers believe that she veered into the right lane from the left lane before she over-corrected the steering, resulting in the vehicle leaving the roadway. It then reportedly rolled several times before coming to a rest. Some children were ejected during the crash.
Numerous Helicopters Dispatched to Scene
One witness said that six or seven medical helicopters landed at the crash scene, according to WFTV News. Emergency personnel transported eight children from the scene. The driver required transport to Orlando Regional Medical Center. She is in critical condition, according to reports. Authorities did not disclose the type of injuries sustained by the children.
